Help for Charlie

Hi, my Corgi Charlie is currently at the VCA in Kapolei, Hawaii hooked up on i.v.’s for antibiotics and potassium. He hasn’t eaten anything since Thursday night and has been vomiting and excessively drinking water. The doctor is speculating it could be a liver, kidney issue or a combination of both. She just isn’t sure what is wrong with him yet, but they would like to do an ultrasound on him tomorrow morning. The estimate for the ultrasound alone is 4,600. It is looking like the ultrasound is going to have to happen in order for us to find out what is wrong with him. He might need emergency surgery, we just won’t know yet. We’ve already spent over 2,000 for his overnight stay. Normally I would not ask anyone for help, but this is my baby! Anything helps.

Hi everyone, Charlie had his ultrasound and his liver is enlarged, which could mean inflammation or possibly cancer. He will be having an FNA (needle to the liver that takes a sample) test sometime today and the results can take a couple of days for that. They are keeping him all day through midnight tomorrow to keep him on antibiotics and i.v.’s to continue to stabalize him. His ultrasound ended up costing around 400, I misheard the nurse. She said “400 to 600” and I thought she said “4,600, as in forty-six hundred. So, right now we’re at about 2,500 not including the FNA test and anything else we might have to do from there. Please help if any way! Even if you can’t, sharing helps. Thank you ❤️
