Have you ever been stuck in life, waiting for this one great job that realises your abilities and fulfils your dreams? I have.
One thing I have always been hugely passionate about is the science of behaviour and mind. I started my dream course a couple of years ago at Birkbeck University in London where I completed the first two years of a Masters in Psychology with merit. I am currently half way through the four-year course, but due to life’s adversities and unexpected turns, I have been unable to pay all my fees.
I am immensely enjoying my studies and I am very passionate about the subject. I have always wanted to become a psychologist, to help and care for others and do a job that I love. Through my studies, I have gained knowledge in social and cognitive development, biopsychology and issues associated with mental illness. My particular interest and future focus lie in the metal health domain.
We all know how mental health issues can affect an individual’s wellbeing and capacity to cope with every day stress. I aspire to work with children and young adults who increasingly struggle with anxiety, depression and obsessive behaviour. They are our future so it is important that we help them achieve their full potential. I, myself have struggled with depression for years and can relate to how it can negatively affect everyday life. My long-term ambition is to become a clinical Psychologist. Completing this course is an important step in achieving my dreams and being able to positively contribute to the community.
All I am looking for is to raise around £3000 to cover all outstanding fees.
If you have ever felt caught up in life’s events and unable to fulfil your dreams, you might be able to relate to what I am going through. With your help I will be able to fulfil my dream and give back to the community by helping others.
