I am raising money for plane tickets so my two kids and I can visit my grandmother in Tonga who is suffering from Osteoporosis. I´m excited to share my story with you.
My grandmother Kulaea Loketi (my Dad´s Mum) is 72 years old and she raised me since I was 3 years old. She more like a mum to me. She taught me what´s really important in life and also for me to have a great future.
It is because of her that I have had a great childhood. It is because of her that I have great moral values. She taught me to love unconditionally, be patient, get up & try just once more when I thought it was impossible. She has tremendous patience and unlimited supply of loving care. I won´t be where I am today if it wasn´t for her.
The most difficult time for me is when my husband and I decided to move to Sweden after we both graduated from Hawaii Brigham Young University last year. Knowing that I won´t be able to see and visit my family in Tonga as often as I wanted to was very hard for me. Now I have two kids, and yet they haven´t meet their great grandmother or anyone in my side of the family in Tonga except my Dad.
My grandmother have been suffering from Osteoporosis since I was young and she is a fighter. Three months ago, she have a hard time to walk and recently, she has declined rapidly. I am finding it so hard to cope, she is the person I run to when times get rough but I have to stay strong for her.
The plane ticket from Sweden to Tonga cost $2300 U.S (20,800 kr) per person. This is how expensive it is to get there and for me and my two kids will double almost triple this cost. This is why I am reaching out for your help. I know for a fact that I won´t be able to meet my goal without your help and support. I hope by January next year I will be able to reach it so I can visit my grandmother right away.
