Hi Friends,
I am attempting to raise funds for two charitable causes close to my heart, by running the iconic Sydney Marathon this weekend.
I am hoping my slightly undercooked training approach will get me through the 42.2 Km on Sunday.
The two causes I am raising funds for are as follows:
1.) Just Breathe Marine - Peter Moore - Awaiting a double lung transplant due to an incident in his youth when he attempted to save children from a chlorine gas leak, but unfortunately ended up inhaling some of the gas which burnt his lungs.
2.) A young Zulu man in South Africa who became a victim of the witchdoctor trade when he was attacked at the age of 8 and his privates cut off. He survived the ordeal but life and continued operations are an ongoing financial/emotional struggle.
There are only 4 days to go, so please dig deep, because, come the 30 km mark on Sunday, I know I will be.
