Helping Mom

Hello All,   This is a plea for help for my Mom, Joan.
She is 78 years old, handicapped, due to polio at the age of 9, a widow since 2011, and in very real danger of losing her home in the very near future.
I am her only child and my two sons, Keegan and Logan are her only grandchildren. My mom lives in NJ with her cat Samore and I live in Ontario. She uses a walker and or wheelchair because of the polio and the fact that as she has gotten older her legs have gotten weaker. She does still get around but it is hard for her  to walk and do anything but walk.
   I have not been to NJ in 8 years, though Mom made it here in 2012. Mom is on Social Security and since the passing of her best friend and longtime roommate earlier this year, she has had an increasing difficult time keeping up on the bills. She also got phone-scammed in the fall for  some money, though I knew nothing about that then.
   It all comes down to the fact the her condo is going to be foreclosed on and she will have to move to some type of place. It is time for her to be somewhere with assistance and not alone. We would bring her here, but that takes months and fees and we do not live in a handicapped accessible unit which she really needs.
   Therefore, it is necessary that the boys and I make a trip to NJ as soon as possible (we are hoping for near the end of the month)  to clean her place out of stuff she no longer needs or will be able to take with her, stuff that will come to us, potential sale of things, etc. etc. The less we leave for her to take care of on her own, the better. We will do everything we can while we are there.
   The problem, and my reason for doing this, is that obviously Mom has no money, or she wouldn't be in this mess. I am also not in a position to do anything financially. My husband, Bob, is on disability due to numerous ailments and we are on limited income. He will be staying here to look after our large immobile elder dog, Tonka, and our cats. With's Bob's physical limitations, he is more helpful here.
   So I am here, doing this, hoping that family, friends and maybe their friends will help us do this. Anything you can do will help.
   I'm in a fit because I cannot help my own mother without help myself. I know there are more worthy causes and folks to donate to, but this is so very important to us. Be assured that there will be many items donated where we can.
We are looking to cover the costs of travel (with our own vehicle with trailer), fuel, tolls, hotel/motel stay of 5 nights, (under the circumstances, we are not going to stay with her. She doesn't have the room or accomodations anymore and she will have less of both while we do this), cleaning supplies, packing supplies, meals, dumpster rental, incidentals....and??
We all appreciate your help with this, and somehow, someway, we will pay it forward.
