<div>The past few weeks have been pretty challenging. Three weeks ago, my daughter, Luna, underwent a surgical procedure that unfortunately led to unexpected complications, requiring more medical attention and ongoing follow-up care than originally anticipated.

<div>During all this, I began experiencing severe pain and ended up in the ER two weekends in a row. The second visit revealed appendicitis, and I had to undergo emergency surgery to remove my appendix. Between my daughter’s recovery, multiple appointments, my own hospitalization, and now my surgery, I’ve missed a significant amount of work—at the worst possible time.

<div>Over this summer, my income is our family’s primary financial support, as my partner prepares to return to teaching in the fall. These back-to-back medical emergencies have created an immense strain. The daily expenses don’t pause just because life has.
