Help Hayley

Hello, friends!

We are setting up a gofundme account and reaching out for financial aid for our dear Hayley. Hayley was diagnosed with lupus 2 years ago and has been fighting the effects and complications of this merciless disease ever since.

Lupus SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus) is an inflammatory disease caused when the immune system attacks its own tissues. SLE is terribly difficult to diagnose and control because it can attack literally any system of the body without warning. Hayley has struggled with significant and chronic kidney issues because of her lupus.

Unfortunately, lupus has decided to take a tour of Hayley's entire body. She suffers daily and chronic pain, constant exhaustion and fatigue, and is currently under attack from the notorious "Lupus Fog". Hayley's life has changed in a rapid and dramatic manner, and that in itself is terribly traumatic and taxing.

The massive financial burden of lupus is daunting and complicated at best, but is crippling and suffocating at worst. Constant blood panels, doctors appointments, medication expenses and the impossibility of working add up to a stack of medical bills and stress.

But we can help!!!

Ideally we would love to get Hayley on a plane to Mayo Clinic to receive the care she desperately needs. So we are humbly asking for any financial support that you may be able to contribute. I love Alaska because of our "village mentality", and a member of our village needs our help. Hayley is like a burst of sunshine and laughter wherever she goes; she has held on to her wicked sense of humor despite the war that lupus has declared on her body.
