Wy'East Robotics Team to Worlds

On January 10, The Pink Fluffly Unicorns, a robotics team from Wy'east Middle School, outperformed 59 other teams from across Oregon and neighboring states to win the opportunity to compete at the World Festival in Houston, Texas.  The event takes place from April 18-April 21.  The six students on the team are in charge of raising ALL of the funds necessary to attend the competition.  We estimate the total cost to be $12,000.  This includes hotel costs, airfare, meals, registration fee, and display expenses.  Any extra funding will be used to help cover the expenses of the coaches. This is the second year in a row that students from Wy'east Middle School have won this top honor.  We are proud that the kids from our rural town can compete against other schools with access to more resources.  We appreciate any amount of money you can give to help them take advantage of this amazing opportunity.  Your donations can be used as a tax write-offs as well.
