Wyatt James Sander Memorial Fund
Donation protected
I am devastated to share that my son and daughter-in-law, Kory and Deyana Hudman, of Houston, Texas, have lost their 10 yr old son, Wyatt James Sander through a horrific course of events.
His death was sudden and unexpected. On May 4, 2019 he was tragically shot and killed by his older brother, who has suffered from mental illness from a very early age. This tragedy happened while in the care of his biological father. There is an ongoing investigation in the events leading up to and surrounding Wyatt's death.
After a lengthy custody battle with their biological father, Wyatt and his two older brothers fell through the cracks of a broken system, and were ultimately taken away from their mother. Further, a no contact order was wrongfully issued against Deyana.
In April of 2017, Kory and Deyana had a beautiful baby girl. The boys were thrilled about having a baby sister. They have only been able to enjoy her a few times during the first two months of her life. She is now two years old and will only get to know her brothers through the memories and pictures that we share with her.
Deyana has spent years tirelessly fighting to get her three boys back. Since July 3, 2017 Deyana has not had contact with any of her three boys other than a very limited number of phone calls starting in January 2019. The first and last time she will see Wyatt since July 3, 2017 will be at his funeral.
Due to the nature of his death there will be numerous subsequent expenses over and above funeral costs, such as legal fees, lack of income (due to missing work for ongoing events related to his death), as well as related travel expenses. Furthermore, the family will be incurring expenses related to the healing process of losing two children.
Please consider helping out Wyatt's family through this devastating time as they navigate through this tragedy and try to move forward in life without him.
Donations will go directly to Deyana and Kory to help with these end of life costs and future expenses.
Thank you for considering a donation and PLEASE keep our family in your prayers.
