Wyatt Duyn Memorial Fund

As you know, Wyatt Duyn passed away in a tragic accident on Monday September 6th 2021. Wyatt was an amazing 15 year old boy, full of life and adventure. He spent his last day on earth doing what he loved, fishing with one of his best friends. He will always be remembered for his smile that could light up a room. His father and mother, Hank and Nikki, raised a beautiful, loving, and respectful son.  He will always be remembered by all of those who were blessed to have crossed paths with him.

 

This fund was set up by a close friend of the Duyn Family (Miguel Garcia) who has been given permission by the Duyn's for the creation of this Go-Fund Me account.  Donations can be made in lieu of flowers.  The memorial for Wyatt is scheduled for Saturday September 11th 2021 at the Duyn Family home.  Although they have not asked for financial assistance, the Duyn Family would like everyone to know that the donations collected will go toward assisting with the various things that need to be managed after such a horrific tragedy. Any left over funds will be utilized to help Wyatt's brother Cody with future needs including college.

I have known Hank and Nikki for over 20 years.  Hank and I are both Firefighter/Paramedics for the Sarasota County Fire Dept. and got hired together in 1999.  We were partners together at Station 11 for almost 12 years and have shared an amazing bond ever since.  Both of us have been through tough times regarding our career, but I can honestly tell you that this is by far the most difficult thing I have ever done in my life.  My heart aches for my beautiful friends and the loss of their truly special boy.  I can not even imagine how difficult this must be for them.  The entire Duyn family and extended family appreciates all the support everyone has given.
