<div>Pedro Queirós, student at University of Lausanne, uses (extreme) sports to fundraise for social projects. Amongst other achievements, he has crossed Japan running, climbed Mount Everest and, more recently, in 2025, he ran 100 Marathons in 100 Days between Lisbon and the gates of Auschwitz Concentration Camp in Poland. <div>Now, in 2026, Pedro has come with a new challenge!!

<div>On the 25th April, at 6 am in the morning, he will leave from the door of the IOC in Lausanne, and run around Lake Geneva without stopping for sleep. He will complete 180 kms running, and he decided to add an extra obstacle: the last 42,2 kms of the course, the length of a marathon, he will do it barefoot.

<div>Pedro is passionate about the Olympic story, and with his effort, he wants to fundraise 10.000€ to help several institutions, and also to pay tribute to Abebe Bikila, the athlete from Ethiopia that won the Olympic Marathon in Rome 1960, running barefoot.

<div>4-	Which associations is Pedro going to help?

<div>The goal of Pedro is to raise 10.000€ and help five different associations. Each one of them will get 20% of the final amount. The money will be transferred to these associations in the first week of May, ten days after the project finishes.
</div>
<div>All of Pedro’s expenses are supported by him on a personal basis. 100% of the collected funds are directed for the proposed associations:
