Surgery for Chewy

Our sweet boy Chewbacca (Chewy) has a large mass in his spleen.  We are not sure if it’s a tumor or a hematoma which may be from a recent fall from the stairs.

Our vet is recommending a splenectomy. If it ruptures it can be fatal if surgery is not done in time.  So we’ve elected to remove it now for his best chances of survival.  The total cost is 2k but we think we can come up with nearly half.  

If we weren’t still paying on the loan from his ACL surgery he had not long ago we’d just ask for another loan. 

Any amount provided is appreciated beyond explanation. We thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. We can’t loose him yet, we aren’t ready to give up on him❤️

This little man is the heart of our family and been with Jason and I for 1/3 of our life.  At almost 13 years old we believe he has some fight left!!!
