Depuis mons enfance j'ai toujours été passionée pour aider les animaux surtous les chats. Suite à l'achat d'un bâtiment à Saint-Hubert ou ils avaient 14 chats errants dans la cour en 2011. Je ne savais pas quoi faire à ce moment… J’ai emprunté une cage trappe pour m'apercevoir que les chats errants n'avaient pas de place a allé. J’ai tout fait pour leur trouver des foyers où ils pourraient vivre, mais cela était très difficile.
En moins d’un an j’ai trappé, soigné, stérilisé et facilité l’adoption, ou garder des centaines de chats ! De plus, plusieurs refuges pour animaux me demandaient de prendre de plus en plus de chats sauvages qui étaient en danger et n'avaient pas d’endroit à vivre en sécurité. Ne pouvant plus suffire à la demande, en 2015 j’ai acheté une fermette pour que les chats puissent vivre une vraie vie de chat sans être en cage.

Maintenant en 2018, mon équipe et moi avons trappé, stérilisé et facilité l’adoption, ou garder en pension des milliers de chats !Aujourd’hui notre refuge, Chat-Va-Mieux, reçoit des chats sociables et adoptables, semi-sauvage, et sauvage (non adoptable). Encore une fois nous ne pouvons plus suffire à la demande.

Mon objectif est d'agrandir le refuge Chat-Va-Mieux déjà existant afin d'offrir 3 pièces supplémentaires : une pièce de quarantaine, une pouponnières, et une salle d'adoption.
Afin de pouvoir offrir une belle vie tellement méritée à ces chats errants/abandonnés et de continue de facilite l’adoption de chat sociale, je fais appel à votre générosité.

The Chat-Va-Mieux shelter is expanding.
Since my earyl childhood I have always been saving animals. It has always been a passion living inside of me.
Monique is raising money to complete the construction of 3 additional rooms: a quarantine for new arrivals, a nurseries for mothers and kittens, and an adoption room for visitors.
Monique’s Story:
In 2011, Monique developed a passion for saving street cats following the purchase of a building in St-Hubert, Qc. Unbeknown to her, the building was accompanied by 14 stray cats. At the time, she did not know what to do, but she knew the cats were hungry, in poor health, and reproducing at an alarming rate.
She pulled up her sleeves and borrowed trapping cages. But, once trapped Monique was faced with hard questions. Where do they go? Who will care for them? Who will love them? Monique pursued many avenues, but could not find forever homes for the 14 strays.

So? She smothered each and every cat with love, safe living environments, and food. Her system worked! She domesticated and thus find forever homes for Yogi, Grisou, Charlie, Bibitte, Sansoone, Choupi, and Batman.
As time passed, Monique realized that others could not be domesticated. But that did not discourage her. Black Shadow, Poupoune, Zoro, Princess, Lila, Champignon and his mother would have to stay with her.
A legacy in the making.

In less than a year, Monique trapped, treated, sterilized, and facilitated the adoption of over a hundred cats! But there still remained the issue of non-adoptable feral cats.
Her efforts did not go unnoticed.
Various animal shelter organizations, frequently overbooked, asked Monique to house and care for feral cats that were in danger due to lack of proper shelter. By 2015, Monique could no longer meet the demands. So, she bought a farmhouse!
Living a life outside of a cage.
By 2017 Monique and her team trapped, sterilized, and facilitated the adoption of thousands of cats! While also providing permanent shelter for a number of unadoptable feral cats.
Today, the Chat-Va-Mieux shelter receives kittens, sociable and adoptable adults, semi-feral, and feral (non-adoptable) cats. But they can no longer meet the ongoing demands.
