EMERGENCY - MOVING EXPENSES

We are on the verge of homelessness. We both lost our jobs within the last month. My contract was not renewed and my wife was fired due to excess absences due to her severe health issues. We've been looking for an apartment in Florida for a month now to no avail. We need to move out of our current apartment by 8/17/2017 with no option for extention or lease renewal. Our only option at this point is to move back to Reno, NV and rely on our families until we can get back on our feet. However, we don't have enough for the move.

We don't have enough for a moving truck.  Moving trucks are $1500+ for the distance. We would have to tow our car behind us, an additional $200-300. We cannot leave our belongings. We have a bed, all our clothes, and a full library full of books that I've spent my entire time as a student building up. These are invaluable resources I will use in my career and I cannot lose them. We cannot lose our bed because it gives us one step forward when we start over in a new place. 

We only have $1300 in savings. I've tried to save all we could. This is a lot to ask but we are in desperate need for help. I cannot express how grim our situation is. 

If you donate, we will either pay you back or we will pay it forward once we get ahead. 

I also want to mention how dangerous it is for a transgender woman to be homeless in this country. Transgender people face homelessness, unemployment, and violence at disproportionally high rates. 

I am also afraid of travelling cross country without adequate accomodations. Some of the money donated will go towards cheap hotel rooms. Every time I step into a truck stop or a rest stop, I put my life in danger. Help me stay safe out on the road. Please share this with your circles. Anything you can give will help a great deal.
