Boomer Memorial Fund for Lois Hess

Donation protected

Lois Hess, a drummer with the Grand Ole Opry, teamed up with Boomer Castleman in the early 2000's and their relationship evolved to best friends and confidants. Boomer was obviously her soulmate! When Lois was 5 years old (1968), she heard a Disney LP that had a song titled "My Airplane Song". She picked up 2 pencils and drummed on the back cover of the album. She was hooked and she knew that's what she wanted to do when she grew up....be a drummer...and a darn good drummer she became. It wasn't until about 5 years after she had teamed up with Boomer that she got a hold of a copy of that same album that determined her future so long ago. It was then that she realized for the first time in her life that Boomer, along with Michael Martin Murphey, had written that song she had drummed to when she was 5 years old! Is that destiny or what?

Needless to say, due to hardships in both their lives in the last 10 years, including Boomer's diagnosis of bladder cancer and the expenses incurred fighting such a dreadful disease, they were both hit hard financially! Lois has lost the love of her life and must go on doing what she knows best!! We want to help her by raising money to get her back on her feet so she can grieve and continue on with her music career. Please generously give to help Lois get through this grieving process. Any amount will help!
