Hi, most of you reading this will have been following Julie for most of her life with her brother Frank. @frankandjulie
Over the last week Julie was taken into hospital at vets now with abdominal issues. With intensive care, treatment and scans, they finally found a foreign object blocking the entry to her liver and part of her intestine as was rushed into emergency surgery. They managed to remove the object but did have to take part of her intestine as it was a very complex surgery. Our baby girl currently has a 50/50 chance of survival right now and is in intensive care. We are absolutely heartbroken and feel so lost without our baby. She’s very scared and needs her mums and brother to help her heal. The current estimate for Julie’s care is now at £10,000. We have started the claim on her insurance of up to £6000 but with pre existing medical conditions we are unsure if it will be approved for the surgery. To even be doing a go fund me we feel absolutely awful as we know how hard times are for everyone. If you could donate anything no matter how big or small to help our baby we would both be so grateful. We know how much Julie is loved by you all. And we love her more than life!
Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!

UPDATE : we’ve just got back from the hospital! When she saw us, I can’t even explain how buzzing she was ❤️ she held onto us and we were so thankful we got to see her again ❤️❤️❤️ we got a full update from the vet and she was able to explain what happened. Basically the piece of ball that they removed was blocking the exit to her gall bladder and entrance to her liver so her gall bladder was expanding. They managed to remove the ball by cutting her intestine away and pushing it through as the area was so delicate. Unfortunately due to the area they had to remove, the piece they have reattached can break down at any time throughout her life and fail causing a hole in her intestine. Which will be fatal Julie is still under intensive care, and have been told if she eats tomorrow and the scans / bloods come back okay she may be able to come home. Her lifestyle will have to change at home to give her the best chance of survival. Strict crate rest and after a few weeks / months short walks. Soft mushy food only and possible we will have to muzzle her in the house when left unattended or crate her to prevent this happening again ❤️ Firstly to Susan and the team at @vets_now Manchester, you have been phenomenal ❤️ thank you so much for doing everything you can for our baby! And secondly, to every single one of you who’s donated, shared and prayed for our baby, you are all incredible and we love you all so much! ❤️
