Murphy

Early Saturday morning Murphy was violently attacked by a coyote. She was found laying in the bushes, covered in her own blood, and barely breathing. She was rushed to the ER, where they stabilized her and attempted to stitch her up. She had lost am incredible amount of blood. The DR called at 4am this morning, and told us that she would have to stay at a vet and be monitored for at least another week. She has a lacerated trachea, lung bruising, and multiple wounds. The Dr also told us that there is a chance of her skin dying, since it is so damaged. If that were to happen, we would have no choice but to put her down. Murphy is as big of a part of the Cruz family as the rest of us are, and we are willing to do anything to help her. However, treatment is beyond expensive, and my family is struggling to find a way to pay for everything, especially knowing that it is a long road to recovery and it is likely Murphy will be needing more surgeries. My parents have been forced to take out another loan in order to pay for Murphy's medical bills. This is why I have set up a GoFundMe account. We would appreciate any donation, prayers included. I was able to visit Murphy today at the hospital, and she is a far cry from the energetic pup she normally is. She was in so much pain, and could barely move. It breaks my heart knowing that Murphy had to face that coyote all alone.... Scared, confused, and hurt. Murphy is a Cruz, which means she's tough. She has more love than her tiny body can hold, and she is the sweetest and most pure being I have ever met. All she wants to do is love and be loved.
