This is my brother Andrew Shirey. Andy needs our help.
On February 14, 2018 he had a right below the knee amputation. This came following the need to have part of his foot removed in July of 2017. He is a severe diabetic and ended up with an infection, hence requiring the amputation. I have traveled from New Jersey to South Carolina to help him out after his surgery as he lives alone. In order for him to be fully independent, he needs a prosthetic limb. Unfortunately, these devices are very expensive and he has no health insurance. Please consider helping us so that he can become fully functional and independent again.
Without the use of a prosthetic, he is unable to drive to his doctor's appointments, grocery store, pharmacy, etc. Everyday activities that we all take for granted until faced with this type of situation have become impossible for him.
