Lindsay Syrett's baby is very sick

Lindsay Syrett’s baby is one month old and is critically ill. On Sunday, November 26, he turned blue and became unresponsive. Lindsay rushed him to the nearest hospital, and he was transferred by ambulance to Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario. He is in the NICU and the medical staff are running tests. There is little information right now except that baby Kieran is in critical condition.
No parent should have to sit in the hospital wondering about their baby’s future. Lindsay already knew that – this summer, my own baby son was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. My husband and I could not think about money at the time, but Lindsay thought of it for us. Lindsay set up a GoFundMe for our family. Watching the GoFundMe website, we were astounded by the love and support that poured in at the worst time in our lives.
That illustrates the kind of human being Lindsay is. If you are fortunate enough to know her personally, then you can probably think of numerous times she has stepped up to provide help, emotional support, and even financial support to friends in need. If you do not know her personally, you probably feel connected to this beautiful, compassionate mother who within a matter of weeks went from living the joy at the birth of her first child to the living every parent’s worst nightmare.
Lindsay’s financial needs will be significant. Her maternity benefits are her sole source of income. The hospital is a two-hour drive from Lindsay’s home. Unexpected expenses, large and small, are coming up. No one can predict what expenses this precious mother and son could face going forward.
We feel helpless because no matter how desperately we wish, we cannot change baby Kieran’s situation. But we can help ease the burden on his mother with our donations.
