Help Atticus Fight Cancer

Donation protected
Dear friends and family,

Two weeks ago our world was turned upside down when a tumor was found on Atticus’s spleen. We rushed him to a veterinarian surgery center in Louisville where he had a successful splenectomy. No other tumors were found, so we were optimistic. But the biopsy confirmed our fear that Atticus has hemangiosarcoma, which is a terminal cancer for dogs, and very common for his breeds. If you know me, you know this is my worst nightmare. Atticus has been my best friend, my everything for over 7 years since I rescued him. He is also Stephen’s best friend, and without a doubt the thread that holds our lives together.

Within 3 days of learning of his diagnosis, we were over $5,000 in debt. Now we are trying to fight with everything we have, including changing his diet, giving him supplements, and taking him to various doctors appointments. We believe Atticus deserves the healthiest and longest life possible, which will be costly. We know times are tough for everyone right now, but if your life has ever been touched by Atticus (or by cancer for that matter) and if you have the means, we appreciate any support you can give to help us fight this awful disease and try to give him as much time as possible.
