In January, I will be travelling to Livingstone, Zambia to work on numerous community volunteering initiatives. Like many countries in Africa, Zambia is underdeveloped, and faces many issues.
64% of the country lives below the poverty rate (this puts them as one of the poorest 15 countries in the world).
In 2018 alone, over 50 000 people will die from HIV/AIDS.
The country struggles to improve their living conditions due to largescale government corruption.
I will be volunteering with an organization called African Impact. During my time, I will be working on numerous community initiatives. I will be teaching english and math in local schools, hosting sporting competitions, working on building initiatives, providing children with after school care and helping farmers plant their crops.
Your donation will make a real difference to the people of Zambia. If I reach my goal, the money can feed 200 girls in the African Impact Programme for an entire year. Or, I could sponser schooling for 6 children for a year. The money could also go towards: providing a farmer with a solar pump for irrigation, help to cover home and medical care for a family, build an 80 student classroom or build a community centre to help keep children out of the streets.
The donation goes directly to the African Impact Foundation, where I will get to choose where I believe the money can be best used once I arrive in Livingstone.
Your donation means alot to me, and the people of Zambia. Thank you.
