WUKF World Championships 2023 fundraiser

Hi, my name is Natalie Böttcher
I have been invited to compete at the WUKF World Championships in Dundee in July 2023 and although it sounds amazing it takes a lot of hard work, time and sacrifices. There are days when I'm wondering if I'm spinning too many plates, with a job, teaching at a local karate club in the evenings, seminars/competitions during weekends, self-studying and family in tow - it has been a very wild rollercoaster ride over the past couple of years.
Being this active has its downsides, from financial challenges to mental pressures I have learned to keep a very close eye on the plates I'm spinning and ask for help when needed.
So here I am, looking for support from my wonderful family, friends, colleagues and anyone with a great heart really.
More about me:
I started my karate journey in 1996 when I trained at my local karate club. I trained 4 times a week and was soon invited to compete at regional and later national competitions where I progressed to the national squad.
When work took over, I remained training at different clubs in Europe. I settled in Gloucestershire and since then I have been training with many fantastic instructors across the UK all of whom have something great to offer. I train with everyone and anyone and I often travel to seminars, squad sessions and competitions all across the country.
I am an active member of the HDKI GB squad team competing in both Kata and Kumite where I have succeeded many times in the national and international competitions. One of my many achievements was gold in individual and team kumite and bronze in kata at the JSKA European Championships last year. This year I'm working towards the WUKF World Championships that will take place in the summer, in Dundee.
Thank you so much for your support.
Sending my best wishes,
Natalie
