Mike Wray -- Ramp & Motorized Cart

Donation protected
The year 2020 has been a difficult one. For Minonk resident Mike Wray, it has simply meant dealing with more obstacles in an already challenging life. A 1978 graduate of Minonk Dana Rutland High School, Mike's life was forever changed in 1989, when he had to have his right leg amputated because of a severe work injury. In 2016, Mike's wife of 31 years, Judy, passed away. This summer Mike has been dealt another blow. The 30 years of using only his left leg has resulted in an infection in his left foot that has caused the removal of two toes.  Because of this, he has been unable to work.

HOW TO HELP

A Go Fund Me account has been set up for Mike and the goal for the fund is $5,000.00. The money raised will be used for two important items that will make Mike's return home possible. Ramp Builders of Streator has generously agreed to provide the labor to construct a wood ramp at the front of Mike's Chestnut St home, the cost of the materials is $1,000.00. The remaining money will be used for the purchase of a motorized cart that will be used to help Mike move around the home he lives in by himself. Thank You in advance for helping to make Mike's return to his Minonk home possible!!
