I am fundraising for a student that is currently struggling with finances. - who doesn’t? Right!? ….buuuuuut

When I heard she couldn’t afford food at some point so she was lying to her friends in school that she forgot her lunch at home, I felt a small action could help a lot to her.

The school already suspended payment of the school fee, but a financial injection would be of great help for her in this time. She is only 19 yo and she is from Brasil. She wasn’t home for 2 years due to high travel expenses, and in the meantime her mom had a heart attack so only her dad was left to work for the family.

She doesn’t want to ask them since she’s aware that they struggle as well.

I truly believe small summ can make a difference, and that is why I am aiming for 500,- until we find a more permanent solution to her situation.

I am keeping her identity anonymous since she shared those details in confidentiality.

Usually the male dancers are the ones who receive majority of the attention in this case since they’re not so many. At the same time, young girls are taking responsibilities over their mental and physical capabilities to build a better life for themselves, while opening the doors to their future.

I had a privilege to talk with many of them and they’re handling school program next to 2-3 jobs. They pass through the program that no one knew about their situation.

I would be happy if one of them which is not lucky to enjoy the privilege of material safety, feels supported from the community in this symbolic way.
