Hi, my name is Kaleigh, and I’m fundraising for my husband, Matt, and myself. This year has been one of the hardest for us — we both lost our jobs, and for the past few months we’ve been without income.

I’ve been struggling with some intense mental health challenges, which played a role in me losing my job in the first place. On top of that, I’ve been trying to keep up with the cost of my prescriptions, while Matt is battling ongoing dental issues that we just can’t afford to address right now.

Thankfully, I will be starting a new job at the end of the month, but until that first paycheck comes in, we are struggling to cover our most important bills. We’re especially worried about making rent and keeping up with utilities like electricity, phone, and internet — which I’ll need in order to work once I start.

It’s just me, Matt, and our cats, doing our best to hold on until things stabilize. We’re not asking for much — just enough to get us through this tough patch so we don’t fall behind before my paychecks start coming in.
