My husband and I have always played a big part in our community out of the love for the people and animals here.

We worked side by side to do everything in our power to defend the weak and help those in need, whether it be animals or the good people in Spencer County, KY. We miss it something awful, and I have high hopes that once we get through what we are facing, we can be a part of that once again.

I was diagnosed with throat cancer back in May of 2025, and the surgery to remove the cancer is around the corner on August 26, 2025, followed by radiation every day for 6 weeks.

I've come to realize that without the generosity and loving support of our community and the people we love, we won't make it through this alone.

I'll be very honest and straightforward by saying that we are ashamed that it has come to this, but we are in dire need of help, and this is the only way I can think of to get the help that we so desperately need.

I'm not asking for a handout; I'm asking for a hand up.

I'm terrified of what we are facing and I need my husband at my side. Without the generosity of loving neighbors, family, and friends, I do not know how we will get through this.

Once I have surgery to have the cancer removed, I will be going to radiation treatments every day for 6 weeks, and the gas alone is costly.

We live check to check just as most everyone does and understand that donating can be a challenge. We don't want anyone donating who cannot afford to do so. So please, just pray for us.

If donations are made, it will be for gas, food, medical needs that insurance does not cover, and so that my husband can take off work to be at my side.

He is the only one working right now, and for him to take off one day can really hurt us.

He works so hard and is trying to do his absolute best to be there for me and the family, and I know that it's taking its toll on him.

His health isn't the best, and I worry so much for him.

To raise the money needed would take such a burden from us both and would allow him to be at my side when I need him most.
