Safiya’s Story
Seizing opportunities
After the misapplication of an injection as a young woman, Safiya Musah was left physically disabled and reliant on family members. Life became even more challenging for Safiya, now 39, following the death of her brother which left her responsible for the care of his son and daughter. Before hearing about GEOP’s training programme for people with disabilities, Safiya had been selling face towels at markets but she struggled with non-paying customers and did not make enough money to provide for her family.
Join us to step up the fight to end poverty.
