The Cellar Arts Club Needs Your Help
Why Is The Cellar Arts Club Important To Worthing?
The Cellar Arts club has been serving its community for over three years, bringing something different and special to the people of Worthing. It evolved from a ‘people powered’ campaign to establish an alternative arts venue for the benefit of the community. Through word of mouth, and encouraging friends to become members and ‘co owners’ of our new initiative, we were able to fund its evolution into a vibrant and exciting creative space.
This ‘not for profit’ venue is passionate in its purpose: to provide a creative space for the enjoyment of all, whilst supporting and showcasing local artistic talent. We bring you music, art, theatre, comedy, poetry (performance and workshops), film, storytelling and music production. We are a place where talent within the community can be encouraged, celebrated and enjoyed by everyone.
Why Do We Need Help?
We are managed by a committee of dedicated volunteers who give their time freely, but this special space is costly to run. We have reached a difficult time, and face an uncertain future. We need the help of our members, supporters, friends, local community and all lovers of independent arts and music to keep our vision alive. If we cannot raise the additional financial support, The Cellar Arts Club will no longer be available to the people of Worthing and beyond.
The committee works tirelessly to cover the club’s considerable running costs. We must now find further funding to meet legal fees that will secure our leasehold. This is a considerable task, but it can be achieved with your support. We ask you, our community, if you will join us in saving the Cellar Arts Club.
How Much Do We Need To Raise?
Our vibrant club must raise £9,000 to secure its place as Worthing’s unique alternative arts venue. This sum will enable us to pay the legal fees to secure the completion of our own long term lease, and will give our own funds a much needed boost to maintain our running costs.
