Help Jan and Cliff

On Friday 21st June, Graham Martin, Phil Goss, Mark Moloney and Simon Weekes will be at Guildford Golf Club attempting to play four rounds of golf in a day. Having raised money for larger charities in the past, we have decided this year to focus our efforts on a cause close to all of our hearts.
In 2016 Jan Thorne the mum of a mutual friend to us all was diagnosed with Leukaemia. After intense chemotherapy she was able to get her life back for almost 2 years before the disease returned in the middle of 2018.
She took the fight on again last year and after two rounds of intense chemo she had a stem cell transplant just before Christmas 2018.
Due to complications caused by the chemo, Jan started losing her eyesight and mobility at the beginning of January 2019 and is now partially blind and unable to move around without assistance. She has also suffered brain damage which causes both Jan and her family daily challenges.
In order to facilitate her return home from hospital, Jan's husband Cliff has given up his job as a gardener to provide daily care which naturally causes financial strain at the toughest of times.
This year we will be playing four rounds of golf in a single day, from dawn until dusk, in order to raise money for Jan and Cliff to help provide financial support. Any monies raised will be put towards paying for care and other associated costs at this difficult time.
As you will see, we have effectively "taken over" an existing page that Jan's son Chris set up several months ago, hence the existing donations in place. We hope this doesn't cause any confusion.
