WRR NHN Hurricane Laura Relief Fundraiser
Donation protected
The communities surrounding our Lake Charles refinery were devastated by Hurricane Laura. Power to most residential areas has just recently been restored. This means people from the area are finally starting to return to their homes and begin down a long path to recovery. The Community Foundation of Southwest Louisiana aims to help them return to the lives they knew before this disaster struck. They are currently helping pay for food, shelter, medicine, and all the other necessities that help stabilize those in immediate need. As time goes on, their focus will shift towards long-term recovery and making places more resilient for the next time disaster hits.
The goal for this fundraiser is to raise $1000 for the Community Foundation of Southwest Louisiana. With 40 members in the New Hire Network, this averages out to a $25 donation each. Phillips 66 will match whatever we raise. So, if we achieve our goal, we will have contributed at least $2000 towards hurricane relief in the Lake Charles area!
