<div>On June 19th, 2025, four days after nationwide "<strong>No Kings Day</strong>" first amendment protests, Alex Wick was arrested on felony charges, including "Possession and Manufacture of Explosives" (a class C felony), despite <strong><em>NO explosives, flammable materials, weapons, or ANY illegal items being found at the scene of the crime OR at his home during a search warrant execution. </em></strong>

</div>
<div>Subsequently, he was "preventatively detained" for over 5 months at Multnomah County Detention Center &amp; Inverness Jail , despite filing a petition for a writ of Habeas Corpus with the court, denied due process, disenfranchised, subjected to extended solitary confinement, ADA violations, and repeated, credible threats to his safety while detained as an Adult in Custody (AIC).

</div>
<div>"Based on my reporting to the FBI re: Epstein Crime Family blackmail by my ex-wife Anna Epstein, along with the submission of genomic evidence I obtained from her, recorded police statements, in the discovery I have reviewed, I suspect that the arrest may have been retaliatory, following reporting to the FBI, regarding my ex-wife, Anna Epstein's possible relation to, and alleged abuse by, Jeffrey Epste*n.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>“During my arrest, and while incarcerated, I was first deprived of my 5th, 6th, and then 8th, and 14th Amendment rights, disenfranchised from voting on November 4th, 2025, and had my human and civil rights repeatedly violated. Though I never experienced physical violence while in custody, I was targeted by deputies and inmates, placed in a too-small-to-lie–down-in cell <em>without a visible clock for over a month</em>, prevented from seeing sunlight outside for weeks at a time, and had my documented safety and medical needs ignored".
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Alex took a plea for a non-violent felony <strong>under duress</strong>—after documented medical negligence, voting disenfranchisement, threats by deputies, leading up to an attempted inmate assault, days before I took the plea.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>“<em>My alibi places me en-route to Canada at the time of the alleged offense</em>” says Alex. Critical to his appeal is that his Canadian border crossing records can only be obtained by the individual in question, not by attorneys, under Canadian ATIP privacy law—yet his detention in Portland, Oregon prevented him from doing that. He was scheduled to be held for up to two years while the state prepared to go to trial, despite having no eyewitnesses and not finding Alex at the scene.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A notice of direct appeal has been filed, Alex has been assigned legal representation to assist with his direct appeal, and is working on subsequent post-conviction relief under<em> 42 U.S.C. §1983 </em>(a Bivens civil rights claim).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>There is local media coverage (KGW) of the unlawful search warrant execution involving PPB and the FBI, as well as inconclusive video footage of the alleged crime. (Google "Alex Wick Portland")
