Writer's Workshop Summer Program

I started this GoFundme page to help raise money to go to a program called Great Books Writer's Workshop Summer Program. This program allows me to visit a college campus for a week to study and collaborate with professors about how to improve my skills as an aspiring author. This year's program will be at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. I am so excited! This is a prestigious program and not everyone gets invited to attend. My teacher, Ms. Flickinger, nominated me. She said she used to teach eighth graders and in all her years of teaching, she's never seen as talented a writer as myself. That's a pretty big compliment!

I love to write and hope to write a book or more someday. Writing is not all I'm good at, I am also an amazing student. I participate in many school activities like orchestra, TEDEd Club, Broadcast Club, and Peace Patrol. I get awards for citizenship and academics at my Cajon Valley USD school of Rancho San Diego Elementary where I am a 5th grader. Hopefully, I will raise enough money to cover the $2,770 cost for this program by April 2018. I truly appreciate any donation you make to help me reach my goal. No donation is too small.
