On The Rise Magazine Co-CEO and Founder, Boss Lady Attica Lundy Cooper aka Mama Caren has been an MS Warrior since 2004 and definitely puts up a fight daily! It is such an honor to work beside her and an inspiration to see her overcome her obstacles. She never makes excuses, she never stops working, she stays positive, and she does not give up.
We are accepting donations to help her with the cost of her medications, treatments, and MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Awareness. Attica has been named among the Top Publicists in Atlanta, and among the Top 100 Publicists in the world , and has been a major advocate creating awareness to the disease that has changed her life. She has also dedicated her life to Spirit (GOD) and her love and light ministry, where she helps people with personal growth, life coaching, self love, relationship coaching, spiritual healing, and even matchmaking. However, with her motor skills declining, constant fatigue, coupled with emotional, mental, psychological and physical needs and with little opportunity to earn a living due to her disability, she needs financial assistance. She travels back and forth from her hometown Atlanta, GA to Colorado where she is able to get natural healing for her illness as well as setting up a home space for healing others, especially Multiple Sclerosis patients like herself. She tries to do whatever she can to earn money, but most of her efforts are volunteer or FREE and out of pocket for her. Because her husband is her primary caregiver, and cannot work full time due to ensuring she has adequate care as it's available, funds are extremely limited.
With the funds donated, Attica (Mama Caren) will be awarded the opportunities to pay for out-of-pocket medical costs including organic alternative medicine options such as massage therapy and hydrotherapy , a co-caregiver and also funds for travel opportunities to speak publicly to draw attention to the cause of Multiple Sclerosis Awareness, Cannabis Awareness, and Love and Light. No longer being able to work, money is tight and without assistance, she can't continue to get better. She's trying. Even minor living expenses has been a challenge. We'd like to take her focus and worry away about anything financial and allow her to just concentrate on getting healthy.
250,000 - 500,000 people in the United States alone have Multiple Sclerosis. 200 People are diagnosed weekly. 2.5 million people world wide are plagued with the Multiple Sclerosis (MS). MS is a chronic neurological disease in which its victims suffer great pain each and every day. People with MS often suffer blindness, paralysis, cognitive disparities, seizures, memory loss, numbness, chronic pain, not to mention a number of threats to the patient's weakened immune system.
The average MS Patient is prescribed upwards of 20 plus medications daily. Some include a painful injection to the abdomen, various pain narcotics, anti-depressants, mood stabilizers, sleeping pills, and that’s just to manage half the day. The treatments it takes to care for an MS patient are quite expensive. The cost of the injection alone is $1400 a month! The problem is most of these patients do not have the income to afford the very essentials needed to live.
Though we are asking for donations of any increments, those who make a donation of $25 are eligible to receive one month of social media promo on all of Attica Lundy and On The Rise Magazine's affiliate accounts to promote their brand.
Attica and her team doesn’t stop there; there will be a plethora of fundraising events such as fashion shows, walks, showcases, and more that start from your donation!
