Fund for Wright Twp Dog Park

Hi! My name is Laurel Prohaska and I am collecting funds to donate to the building of the Wright Twp Dog Park. The Wright Twp Supervisors approved the Dog Park earlier this year but all money must be raised by donations!
The Wright Twp Dog Park will be a beautiful, well-maintained space open to all dog lovers free of charge in the MountainTop area. It will offer a fenced in, off-leash area where well-behaved canine citizens can exercise and socialize in a safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property or wildlife.
The Dog Park will be located on the south side of the Municipal Bldg. along the walking trail. Phase I will include 2 fenced in play areas( one for large dogs and one for small dogs) with a double gated entry, dog waste stations, signage, drainage and an access bridge. Phase II will include a donation sign, shade trees, benches and agility equiptment.
Dog Parks across the contry have been proven to help dogs get the strenous exercise they need to be happy, healthy and less prone to anxiety inducing behaviors like repetitive barking or destroying property.
Dog Parks also give dogs an opportunity to socialize with other dogs and other humans. Dogs will not feel the need to display dominance if they are comfortable meeting other dogs. A dog accustomed to meeting other humans is less likely to have a fear response toward visitors in your home.
Lastly, Dog Parks have a positive effect on their owners by promoting friendships and a feeling of belonging to a community.
