My name is Trish, aka "Dr. Mom".
I have been performing first aid on professional wrestlers for over 20 years. As my husband, Coach Steele, says, "We hit very hard in safe places." However, no matter how well-trained and well-prepared, things do not always go as planned.
After years of providing basic first aid and being an enthusiastic supporter of indie professional wrestling, I'd like to do more, and take my support to the next level.
That is why I am reaching out to you to help me become a licensed EMT.
I have found a training program at my local college. The course takes 11 weeks of weekends and taking on homework and classes at night after I work my regular job. I'm willing to commit to the time and effort required so that our community has the immediate medical care it needs, and to continue to support the development of independent wrestling in Washington.
Here's where you all come in. I need your help covering the cost of program, materials, and immunizations so that I can be the right person at the right time when injuries occur. Altogether, it will cost about $1700 start to finish.
In return, I will be there when the best planning doesn't go to plan. No one wants to see an injury happen more than I do, but I want to make sure it's handled right so you can get back out there doing what you love, and what I love to watch.
