Missionary Associate to Mbale, Uganda

“For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.”
God is such a good and gracious God! He has gone before me; directing me in his will for my life and continues to do so. He is a God who promises to be faithful and steadfast and it is in His word that I place my trust.
On October 2, 2017, the Lord willing, I will be traveling to Mbale, Uganda on a mission trip and will return June 21, 2018. Leaving Uganda after my first trip, I found that I left a piece of my heart there and had always dreamed of returning one day! Over the summer, the need arose for a missionary associate in Uganda and after much prayer it became obvious that this is what the Lord has planned for me next. I am excited for this next adventure and trust that the Lord has great things in store for me there.
During my time over the next 9 months, I will be living on the Tuininga’s compound. Most of my time will be spent assisting Dianna Tuininga in homeschooling her 9 children, helping with housework and going to market as needed as well as working with the children from the village. The church in Mbale works to reach out to many of the children from the village and I will have the wonderful opportunity to come along side of that ministry and help where I can. There are many lost people in Mbale but the Lord can bring them to himself through the work of building relationships and sharing the gospel with them. Living in Uganda comes with many last minute diaconal opportunities as well which the missionaries can not plan on but often need extra hands in the moment. Being in Uganda will make me available to assist the missionaries and help to further the gospel through ministering to the people there.
Your prayers and support are what make this trip possible. I covet your thoughts and prayers over the next several months. The Lord does not promise that this trip will be easy but he does promise to go with and before me. I am excited for what the Lord has planned and I look forward to sharing with you the work that he is doing through your prayers and support.
