In late July I found out that I was no longer a breast cancer survivor I was now a "lifer". I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in the bones. My kids are now 12 and 8 and still need a mommy. I'm 36 and never imagined this could happen to me. Since then I started treatment and am living life to the fullest. I began looking for support and realized that most of the research is for prevention. I'm not ready to give up and still hold out hope that discoveries will be made. Metaviver is a nonprofit offering grants for research for metastatic cancer. People around me have been asking if they can back a campaign for me and this is my choice. Money's raised here will be donated in hopes for a brighter future.
