It Takes A Villiage

Xavier Lee is a senior at Francis Marion School in Marion, AL. He is in the top ten percentile of his class, well mannered, and has a very promising future. While Xavier's attributes may not be that unique at face value, if you knew his story you would think differently. Six years ago while our class was filled with excitement about 6th grade graduation, Xavier's heart was full of sorrow. His mother passed away a few weeks shy of graduation. Instead of using his mother's death as a deterrent to his success, anyone that knows him will agree he has a proven record of residence and tenacity. Not only did he continue to strive for excellence in his high school classes, he is dually enrolled at Wallace Community College Selma pursuing a dream to become a welder. Now, a few weeks shy of graduation, he has to bid his farewell to his father, the only parent he had left. Like many seniors across the nation, Xavier is preparing for college but in need of YOUR help. The Class of 2018 are asking you all to help Xavier cover the cost of graduation fees, school expenses, and college essentials. He has no parents, a heart of grief, and an actual chance at being added to the list of many GREAT legends who came from The BlackBelt. He cannot do it alone. All donations are needed and graciously welcomed. If the saying is true and it really does take a village to raise a child, we urge you, to be a part of Xavier's village.
