<div>For those of you unfamiliar with the story, my cousin Jake, who passed away in a car accident when he was a senior in high school, had been to the Dominican on humanitarian trips and had a huge heart for the people on the island. As a way for my family and his friends to continue to honor his life and legacy, we carry on his work in the Dominican with the people he cared so deeply for.

<div>We have helped to build a school and children’s hospital, installed clean drinking water wells, constructed several multi-family homes with businesses on the first floor so the occupants have jobs, and we have distributed several thousand pounds of food to those most in need.

<div>We are asking for donations to help us with the costs of our projects this trip. <strong>We will be drilling 3 clean drinking water wells, building chicken coops and purchasing several chickens and turkeys, and finishing construction on another home.</strong> We would also like to distribute food to those most in need if possible. Typically, we are able to give away several thousand pounds of rice, beans, oil, pasta, carrots, and sardines. <strong>Your donations will allow us to continue this work.</strong>

<div>Please know that 100% of your donations will either go towards the purchase of food/supplies or to a specific need in the community as my travel costs and room and board have already been paid for. I fully recognize that this year has been a challenging one for many, and I’m sure your heart to help has been pulled in several directions throughout these challenging times. <strong>Know that every dollar helps and that there is no donation too small to help.</strong> If you find yourself in a position where donating is just not realistic, I’ve been there, and I get it.
