Our names are Cameron and Audriana, and the beautiful boy you see pictured is Morty. On May 2nd, Morty went in for emergency back surgery after struggling to use his back legs. It was heartbreaking to see our usually playful and active boy struggle to even walk. After some scans, we learned that he has IVDD - with 7 herniated discs, one of which was the main cause of compression on his spine and causing the loss of ability in his back legs. He’s now been out of surgery and recovering for a week and he’s doing so well! This unexpected event has caused a lot of stress and cost us a lot of money, but we are just thankful he’s healing so well and still here with us to celebrate his 7th birthday! We are hoping for many years with our little gremlin to come. We realize it’s a trying time right now for many, but anything anyone could donate to assist us with his medical bills would be amazing.
