Help us in making a difference this October in a tough neighborhood in San Fernando, California! We want to bring our next WOW Jam to San Fernando on October 12, 2019, where we will provide this community with a day of FREE food, fun, live entertainment, giveaways, haircuts, bike repairs, access to community resources, and an encouraging message of hope!
About W.O.W.
Over 30 years ago, a dream was placed into the hearts of Stephen and Linda “Peaches” Tavani (multi-platinum artist formerly with “Peaches & Herb”) to unite local communities, churches, and businesses to reach the lost and broken. This dream would become an organization called W.O.W. International.
W.O.W. International has had the unique opportunity to impact residents in some of the most underserved and dangerous communities around the world, by hosting amazing street festivals called WOW JAMs.
WOW JAMs are a tangible example of the Gospel at work! A large stage truck arrives into a city with 40 pop-up tents offering people hot meals, groceries, live entertainment, prize giveaways, haircuts, bike repairs, connections to community resources, and more—ALL FOR FREE! For about four hours, an underserved neighborhood is transformed into a place where hopelessness and despair become hope and destiny.
Since the inception of W.O.W. International and its signature WOW JAMs, we have:
• Reached more than 1,400,000 individuals across the world
• Mobilized over 128,000 volunteers for our events
• Served over 1,125,465 hot meals
• Inspired over 447,275 people to give their lives to Jesus Christ
• Partnered with more than 275 churches to help support our efforts
• Trained over 2,150 interns
• Given more than 23,358 haircuts
• Repaired over 34,671 bikes
• Captured over 25,152 family photos to give as a keepsake
We have visited more than 79 cities and 13 countries with our W.O.W. Jams.
After a WOW JAM event, we equip local churches, organizations, and city officials with an effective follow-up strategy to continue building upon what we started in that community.
Why Donate?
As you can imagine, hosting events of this magnitude requires significant resources to provide for the communities we target.
Our next WOW JAM is being hosted in San Fernando, California, on October 12, 2019. Your donation will help us to fund this event and provide for a community where we managed to have a significant impact over the years.
We hope to raise $50,000 for this upcoming event, which would allow us to provide food, resources, and prize giveaways to this community in need. Your donation will affect the growth of this community, and consequentially, communities across the world!
