Help me grow & fund Masters at CSM

Dear everyone!

In 2017 I graduated my BA in Fine Arts and Fashion Design at Beckmans College of Design and have recently been offered a spot at the Masters Programme within Fashion Design and Art at Central Saint Martins in London. I've dreamt of getting this opportunity since the beginning of my journey in the field of fashion, and am now so close to making it come true.

My background in fashion:

For as long as I can remember, I have had a dream to work within the fashion industry. I've always been attracted by the openness, the freedom of expression and the exploration of identities which this industry can act as a platform for.
Using color, form, function, texture, and crafts as tools, I can tell a story by creating a visual concept.
To deliver and create subversive perceptions of reality and fantasize about alternative utopian structures for society, are thoughts which drive my motivation within this medium.

I started my first internship when I was 14 at the Danish Avant-garde designer Ivan Grundahl's studio. Since then I went on to study Tailoring for 2,5 years at the Danish Tailoring Academy. While studying, I went abroad for 2 additional internships in Florence at Flavio Castellani and in Berlin for the Danish brand Spon Diogo.

After graduating from the Danish Tailoring Academy I continued working at another internship at the Dutch couture house Iris Van Herpen. Here I produced garments which were included in the presentation at Paris Haute Couture Week. At this internship, I also produced garments for Björk and Daphnee Guinness.

When my internship at Iris Van Herpen ended, I went back to Copenhagen and started working for Danish menswear brand Jean//Phillip, while I was applying for several bachelors. I ended up choosing Beckmans College of Design, where I graduated last June 2017 with an Honors Degree from the Swedish Fashion Council. From here on I went on to compete in the design competition Designer's Nest and was chosen as 2nd runner-up. Promptly thereafter I was granted the Swedish Form Prize and selected for Vogue Italia's September issue,  printed in the Vogue Talents section.
I ended up showing my graduation collection Love Letter in Stockholm, Copenhagen and finally at Paris fashion week in September 2017.

As soon as I finalized my BA in June 2017 I started working for Danish design house Anne Sofie Madsen where I was responsible for the menswear that season, which was shown at Paris Fashion Week.
At that point, I decided it was time to pursue my ultimate dream, which is starting the MA Fashion course at Central Saint Martins.

So, I began working on my portfolio and started applying for the course, while working for renowned fashion house Thierry Mugler. One day I got the e-mail, which offered me a spot at the MA Fashion course at Central Saint Martins.

My problem now lies in the fact that the Danish educational system no longer supports this education, since these rules were changed pr January 2018. In order for me to start the best fashion programme in the world, and accept this rare opportunity, I need to find all the finances myself.

Through these years my family has invested everything they could to send me out and get the right working experience, and they have no means to help me further.

As it is I have a small savings account and I have received a small scholarship from the "Statens Kunstfond - Talentudviklings legat".  Besides receiving this scholarship, I have applied for the British government education loan to pay for the tuition fee, but remaining is still the finance to pay for materials, living expenses and 2 collections over the course of 18 months.

Central Saint Martins is the leading design and art school in the world. To graduate from this school will bring the best education within fashion having the best teachers, external tutors and the best platform to show and develop my talent. My motivation to undergo this Masters programme is ultimately that I want to start my own company. With the platform and education Central Saint Martins gives, it will be the best opportunity I could ever get to make all these dreams, and everything I rigorously worked for, come true.

CSM is also listed as the best school within the art, fashion, and design.
