It's never ideal to have to reach out in this way but in this case it is wholly necessary! Nick (also known as Sick Nick, Coach Nick and that one time they announced him as Professor Nick) is currently being kept under heavy sedation at UCHealth Highlands Ranch, Colorado due to a stomach rupture that he suffered in the early hours on May 9th 2022. His emergency surgery went well and his Doctors and Nurses are keeping close and careful eyes on him. Unfortunately, Nick will be spending a great deal of time in the hospital in recovery and as we all know life doesn't stop and bills wait for no one. This GoFundMe is being organized so that when Nick returns home he will have nothing else to worry about but healing. Any funding received will be used for rent, utilities, food, gas, medical bills and home supplies, puppy care, as well as anything that Edge might need as he is recovering.
We are so fortunate and grateful for the incredible support that you have all shown! The impact that he has clearly made on so many lives and the love and loyalty that he has fostered in his life is such a beautiful thing to witness. Update: So many people have contributed to Nick and his recovery! First and foremost, THANK YOU. From the bottom of our hearts THANK YOU. I also wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Sarah and I am Nick's girlfriend. I met Nick 10 years ago at Edge MMA when the father of my son began to train there. Shortly after being introduced to the Edge Family I began to work at the gym as front desk and sales staff. In more recent years Edge became much more to me and I to it. I began teaching bootcamps and yoga classes on top of managing some of the backend business. As My relationship grew with Edge so did my relationship with Nick and we have been together for a little over three years now. We are workout partners, training partners, business partners, nap buddies, he's my Coach as well and my son's coach. I can't even begin to tell you what this man is to me and what he has brought to my life, although I can imagine you all have experienced the impact that he has had on the world around him. This has been an incredibly traumatic event for him, for you, for all of us. Covid hit us so hard. We have managed so far to keep the gym alive, to pay the personal bills and to move forward in a positive way.
