WORLD'S FINEST GALLIER FAMILY

Hurricane Harvey has severely impacted two of our World's Finest Chocolate team members. Mike and Judy Gallier, in Beaumont, Texas, LOST ALL MATERIAL POSSESIONS because their house, cars, office, mother's house, and son's house all flooded. As I write this at 9am on the morning of September 1st, there IS STILL WATER in their home and office.  They are currectly in a friend's house with twenty other people who lost their homes as well. At 10pm last night, Mike and Judy informed us that Judy's mother fell down the stairs and broke her neck, her hip, and has a compressed vertebrae.  Her mother, 82 years of age, was airlifted to Temple, Texas for immediate surgery. Mike and Judy are trying to get there as best they can-- their CARS FLOODED AS WELL in this hurricane.   As two people who have lived thru devestating hurricanes before, Hurricane Allison and Hurricane Katrina, Keith and I know that first and foremost we are thankful Mike and Judy are safe; however, the reality is this- insurance will not cover everything PLUS insurance checks take MONTHS to come in. Even with the best of savings, we do not want Mike and Judy to have to deplete that. As salespeople, you understand that we get paid when we make a sale. Yesterday, an hour south of Beaumont, my husband and I drove by a school and ONLY saw the top of the playground. They currently have no schools to call on and only time will tell when their territory will be back. Please consider donating and helping friends in need. If you do not know Mike and Judy, know these two things: 1.) While they had to leave their home of 20 years on a boat with NOTHING but the clothes on their backs, once they got to their friend's house, Mike Gallier immediately turned his boat around and began rescuing other people- some he didn't even know- from their homes. I spoke with Judy Wednesday and she was telling me how Mike had just brought in a young family with a set of 2 year old twins and an infant... all on his fishing boat and 2.) Mike and Judy have NO IDEA we are setting something like this up because they would do everything in their power to try and talk us out of it. They are strong people- they will be back from this bigger and better than ever before; however, they are SURROUNDED by people who are in a position to make this tragedy and transition a little easier for them. Please consider stopping what you're doing right now and helping two people who will never be allowed to pay us back monetarily, but will pay us back by being two of the best people to represent mankind and certainly World's Finest Chocolate.
