World Baseball Project - Home Stretch
Heading into Year 3 - Rounding Third, Heading for Home
Dear Friends of World Baseball Project:
Applying baseball metaphor to World Baseball Project, rounding third and heading for home would be appropriate. It’s really amazing to look back and think about where everything was when this all became "official" in 2017 – while still trying to comprehend what, exactly, World Baseball Project needed to be - and especially to look all the way back to the way things began in Bekoji, Ethiopia, in 2013.
Since then, we've answered a lot of questions (but still have many wide open), made countless connections, and learned a great deal about the "baseball world" and how the game is developing in the world today – born in America, perfected in Japan, and now catching on in even the most remote corners of our planet.
For those of you who have been following since the beginning, you well know that World Baseball Project is ahead of the curve; supporting communities, unbeknownst to the rest of the world, in developing the sport of baseball, in a responsible, sustainable way - at a grassroots level - for more than 5 years (starting from our first pitches in Ethiopia, before ever having a name). World Baseball Project is poised to be a major authority on International Baseball Development, but we need to ask for your help to get over a hump.
People are starting to notice the work that we’ve been doing; partnerships, sponsorships, and maybe even a major documentary feature spot are all on the horizon. The future for World Baseball Project appears bright.
Whatever you can do to help the dream that is World Baseball Project get through these late innings would be much appreciated. As a reminder, you can also make a contribution via PayPal by sending to *[email redacted]
Most importantly, thank you for your unwavering love and support.
For the Love of the Game,
Your Friends at World Baseball Project
