World Wide Air Purifier (Phoenix) - New Concept
PHOENIX
This idea was born during the Corona Virus quarantine, in the early months of 2020. The COVID-19 made the world be more aware of the constant pollutants, bacteria, and virus' that we are all exposed to on a global basis.
As we all learned how to keep social distancing and learn proper precautions to contain the virus, we became more aware of the quality of air we were breathing. My wife and I were no different. We quickly needed to figure out ways to make our own hand-sanitizer, masks and ways to keep exposure with others at a minimum.
We then had to leave our shoes outside, wash our hands and face and change our clothes when we came home; not to mention needing to disinfect our purchases of the day. Even after all of these safety precautions, we realized that we were still not satisfied with our level of air quality. This resulted in buying a premium HEPA Carbon Air Filter for viruses, pollen, mold, bacteria, PM2.5, and nanoparticles (VOCs / gases). In doing so, we thought of an air-borne filter that eliminates viruses and other pollutant particles. Therefore, giving birth to our idea, that we immediately named Phoenix.
Our vision involves an "Eco-Friendly", solar powered aircraft capable of significantly reducing the amount of airborne pollutants, and potentially increasing our life expectancy.
The sole purpose, of the Phoenix is improving our air quality, our overall health and decreasing our exposure to contaminants. Not to mention, reducing the amount of greenhouse gases that are plaguing our planet Earth
The funds provided to me will be used to build a 40 foot wingspan tailless aircraft, constructed from aluminum. This aircraft (Phoenix) will have numerous HEPA air filters built into the wing, therefore outputting much cleaner air. The Phoenix will be fully autonomous; requiring the pilot (myself) to input set map waypoints to allow it to fly non-stop on any provided route. Anti-collision sensors will be onboard, and ADSB. For those unfamiliar with ADSB; it is a device that transmits an aircrafts location for other aircrafts and Air Traffic Controllers. Also, included in the filter chamber will be UV-C lights for their disinfection properties. Equipped on the Phoenix, will be air quality sensors to measure the quality of the atmosphere, before and after being cleaned.
During the wildfires, in California, I plan on testing the performance of Phoenix. As we may all know, the effects of smoke from those wildfires have been noticed on the east coast of the United States.
Once this prototype is built and tested, I will be getting further funding, from investors. What will I be doing you say? Building a fleet of Phoenix aircrafts to clean. Just like WALL-E,but for our atmosphere.
In case you may be wondering, “how is this guy going to build an airplane, is he for real?” While serving in the Marine Corps,for nine years, I was a helicopter mechanic (CH-53) for five years. I guess you could say I have a bit of an advantage. I am also recruiting those who feel they have the skills to tackle such a project and would love to be a part of the team.
