I am Richard Clayton and I bought this old shop a couple of years ago to rebuild and start a mechanic/tire/oil change shop here in Loraine because Loraine doesn't have any businesses that serve our little town other than a small mom and pop convenience type store. Everyone who needed a flat fixed or mechanical work done would have to find a way to get their vehicle to one of the towns near by or pay towing. For the last 5 1/2 years ive been working 50 miles away and accumulating the tools needed for a shop while also working to restore this historic gas station that was allowed to leak and rot, (Rather than tear down the memory so many have of this building I'd rather renovate it)... all while working 40 hours a week plus drive and doing customer service at shop on weekends and after work plus running the comfort  zone RV park 2 miles west of town. I've got most of the tools including new tire mechine and balancer... however the building still needs tons of work and and oil/tire supplies. My goal is to put 3 + people to work here at this shop, and more once i get hardware store going... With Christmas coming it has been tough. I no longer have my weekly paycheck from Big Spring and if im going to be able to keep this shop working I have to get the rest of the building done so I can use both bays for work and put office equipment where it belongs. At this time the only roof we have fixed is over the bays so EVERYTHING is in there with only a wood fireplace for heat. All funding will go toward that goal and be extremely appreciated not only by me but everyone in and around town that will need my services in the future. Thank you!

  P.S.
I am currently open for business Mon. Through Fri 8 am to 5 pm. Weekends 10am to 4 pm. After 5 pm still working in shop till dark but keep doors closed for heat.  Mechanic wise I do everything from changing starters to rebuilding engines and transmissions!!! Come see me... free coffee
  P.S.A.
I'm also planning to have a parts store in the rest of the building if my goal is reached as well as selling used cars next to the shop of which i already have a couple that I plan to service and put out for sale.
If this goal does well I have a 3000 sq ft building with no roof or floor that i intend to renovate and put in a hardware store for my community as well.
