We are called, as Christians, to help and love each other as a community, and as our Creator has loved us. The core verse of the Work 2 Life program makes that calling unmistakable: “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” - Galatians 6:2.
It is in response to this calling and a prevailing need in our community that Work 2 Life was born and is accepting the challenge to reconnect individuals to life by restoring their sense of value through Work, and with a spirit of gentleness, open the door to reconnect them to God, Self, Others, and Nature.
We are committed to restoring local residents who have been overtaken by unemployment and homelessness to jobs, through resume and interview preparedness, on-the-job skills training, and donated interview attire as needed.
As the program's founder, I need your help to expand our offerings. Multiple barriers have been identified that hinder our participants' ability to find work - transportation, phone access, computer access, skills training and drivers license reinstatement to name a few. Your donations will help to fund these offerings (we have no paid employees!).
