About Us.
Worcester Arts Workshop has been a community arts hub for nearly 40 years. We now aim to work with vulnerable, marginalised and hard to reach individuals and communities, especially young people through a high quality, interdisciplinary, socially engaged artistic participatory programme which aims to result in positive change and enjoyable experiences in the local community.
We are an arts based community hub. We support and develop local emerging talent, offering emerging artists training, live and virtual platforms and pathways to employment.
About Our Campaign.
We are launching a campaign to raise money towards funding a new lift and improved disabled access at Worcester Arts Workshop.
The money raised will help fund works to improve the accessibility of Worcester Arts Workshop and in turn will support and enrich the work we do with learning and physically disabled people.
Worcester Arts Workshop is made up of the Cafe/Bar, offices, a number of art studios, The Vaults and The Theatre. As an old building, with The Theatre and Vaults situated in the basement it is a building packed full of history and personality. The character that we know and love, does however, make accessibility an issue. At present, the only access to the basement for wheelchair users is via a chairlift, which is not always suitable for each individual. Our hope is to make it a building that is fit for purpose and suitable for all.
Our fundraising target is £1,000. Your contribution, along with others will go towards making this hope a reality. Every penny or pound is gratefully received.
