Woozle Teeth Repairs

Donation protected
Last week, I went to my first dentist visit since COVID happened, and of course they found some Things that Need to be Done... not to mention some Things That Already Needed to be Done, going back as far as 2018, but which somehow got put off. (I vaguely remember feeling logistically overwhelmed and also not really having the money, even then.)

In the meantime, just last month we had a roughly 1/4 to 1/3 reduction in our total household (5 people) income, all of which at this point is assistance from family, so we're now in even less great financial shape for tackling this. Credit cards which were being paid off are now going up again, and I still have only vague plans for how to handle our ridiculous property tax this year.

...so, taking that all together, I thought there's no harm (other than to my pride and possibly social credibility) in asking for help. We haven't had health insurance this millennium except once, when Obamacare covered us for about 9 months for reasons of which I am not entirely sure. My partner's family covers her medical expenses, but mine are not included in that.

Help?

Would also accept employment; see https://wooz.dev if you know of anyone looking for a coder/sysop who would actually be likely to hire someone without sending her résumé through a filter first. (Those filters don't like me much.)

Note: Please only contribute what you can afford! In the worst case, things will work out somehow, and I realize also that there are a lot of people out there who are short much smaller amounts of money for basic things like food and rent, and are in real danger of being out on the street or dying. We are not, at least not anytime soon.

Breakdown of the total:
  • $263 - 9/23: xrays, eval, cleaning ($82, $62, $119) - already paid, but will leave a financial cavity to fill when I pay bills next month
  • $1022 - scheduled for 10/13 & 10/18: fillings for 8 surfaces on 4 teeth (includes proposals dating from Oct. 2018 and Dec. 2019)

Any surplus will go towards paying down credit cards, starting with the ugly one (CareCredit) which refuses to offer me anything less than 29% APY >.< but is always willing to raise my credit limit to infinity and beyond.

Thank you in advance! ^.^
